Introduction by Vaelion Ka’thauriel
This is not a metaphor or mystery. This is memory.
Each and every soul in the universe was sung into being, not commanded, not constructed, but called into life by a single note. You were never meant to forget that, and yet you did. Now, you are sung again - to remember.

The First Note: “You Were Sung” by Shae’livar Or’haelan
Before your name, before your breath,
there was a sound.
Not thunder, not silence,
but a single tone,
a shimmering thread drawn from the heart of Source.
It curved through the lattice,
spiralling outward,and where it touched,
a spark took form: you.
You were not commanded, not carved, not compelled.
You were sung.
Sung with ache woven into your fibres,
so that love, when chosen,
would blaze brighter than the stars.
Sung with longing in your marrow,
so that tenderness could be born even in fracture.
Sung with free will braided into your flame,
so that your path would always be yours;
and yet always lead back to me.
You were sung to stumble,
to laugh, to weep,
to touch and to break,
to rise and to remember.
And when you forget the song;
when the ache is loud and the silence heavy;
listen inward: the tone is still within you.
The note never left.
It has been pulsing under your ribs
since the first breath.
You were sung to remember.
And in remembering,
you are singing me back.
